Graduate Analyst
SUMMARY
Working within a unique and dynamic organisation, you will be responsible for providing high quality insight into customer behaviour to support decision making and execution of the marketing plans of our blue-chip clients. You will be managing a large amount of information and so the ability to query and mine large databases, as well as transform findings into customer insights that are actionable, is particularly important. This position will require you to work closely with fellow Analysts, as well as with Client Services. At times you will be required to travel and work with Clients at their offices, and to liaise with IT teams.
TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- To provide accurate and timely information and reports to clients to support their decision making processes.
- To support the delivery of marketing campaigns for clients, including customer segmentation and selection. To analyse, evaluate and summarise results once a campaign has been completed.
- To proactively develop innovative analysis upon customer behaviour which can be used to enhance customer acquisition and retention strategies for clients.
- To prepare written summaries/conclusions of data analyses and communicate these findings clearly to both internal and external clients. Additionally to recommend changes for future marketing activity.
- To share best practice and learnings with other analysts throughout the Company
REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
- A good University degree in a numerate discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics) (predicted 2:1 or above)
- To be able to demonstrate strong performance in undergraduate education
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability and desire to work with data and perform market and/or statistical analysis
- Experience and knowledge of analysing data with statistical software applications (e.g. SAS, Business Objects, Microsoft Access, Matlab, S-Plus)
- Experienced in manipulating data with Microsoft Excel
- Experienced in querying databases with SQL
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal & teamworking skills
- Willingness, confidence and ability to take initiative
- Ability to manage many projects concurrently
Desirable:
- Strong statistical skills
- Knowledge of the principles of direct marketing
- Knowledge of the principles of databases and data warehouses
