Simon Hawkes - Chief Operating Officer

Simon Hawkes joined LMG in July 2003 and is Chief Operating Officer for the Group with overall responsibility for Information Technology and Operations.

Prior to joining LMG, during the period 1997 through 2002 Simon worked for Debenhams Plc as part of the de-merger from The Burton Group Plc where he spent five years in operations, E-commerce and marketing. In Simon's various roles, he was responsible for opening stores in the Middle East and developing new operations globally, developing and launching the Debenhams' web site as E-Commerce Director and implementing a Customer Relationship Management strategy within the Marketing function.

Simon spent nine years in the retail industry from 1988 to 1997 with The Burton Group Plc. During Simon's tenure he progressed through several planning and operational roles within the group, notable as Retail Planning Director with responsibility for strategy planning and property acquisition and disposal.

Simon was born and educated in the UK. He holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Birmingham University and a Masters in Business Administration from London Business School.
